Try and sip small amounts of ‘ a little more than warm but not very hot’ water. This might help relax the esophagus. If you still feel it is lodged and it is causing a lot of pain you have to go to the ER. A gastroenterologist may have to put a scope down your esophagus and remove it if it is still stuck. If no significant pain and you can swallow water you can wait it out.
