A member asked:

Burning in chest after eating or drinking. not daily. happens suddenly with no warning. sipping on water helps a little.?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Could be reflux: Some foods and beverages may provoke acid reflux. You could try a liquid antacid or an otc medication such as omeprazole. Either would probably be more effective than water. The antacid you would just take when you have the symptoms. The Omeprazole you take to prevent them. Good luck!
