A member asked:

If norethindrone 5mg is given for a ten days a month for prolonged periods. does that mean only ten days out of the month you dont have your period ? what is suppose to happen?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The use of progestins or progesterone for "10 days a month" will generally control excessive growth of endometrial tissue in women who do not ovulate regularly. At "33 years of age", you are not statistically "pre-menopausal", so get a referral to a reproductive endocrinologist for an assessment of your ovulatory status.
