As i thought i had rectal prolapse a week ago, i went to gynecologist and she checked my rectum and told me everything was fine (i was washed and informed her). i forgot to say that my mom had it several times. would it change anything?

If you had a proper exam including straining to defecate and gyn did not see anything then you should be fine. If you see or feel any thing sticking out during bowel movement then visit a surgeon or a gastroenterologist for a re-check
