Hutch cancer research president dr gary gilliand says we will have a cure for most, if not all cancers? i find this highly implausible, but i am not a scientist. what do you think?

I can only speculate on the answer. Obviously, we have been researching cancer for a long time. Yet, we've made only humble progress with many types of cancer. (By the way, we need to realize that "cancer" is a generic name that describes many very different types.) I do remain optimistic that, in time we will continue to progress and hopefully find cures; exactly how long, is difficult to say

The hope should always be there and the tremendous progress over the last couple of decades is speaking by itself about the potential for the years to come. The irony is that not too many patients may be interested in treatment given late developments and subsequent massive loss of trust in modern medicine.
