The fact that it is on the left side arm may make it alarming, because it is near your heart, however if no family history or personal history of heart disease, you may probably ascribe it to what is going in the legs. It is most likely due to abnormal firing in the nerves. It is usually transient and may have been provoked by pressure on the nerve prior to the event.
