A member asked:

I tried googling this and got mixed answers. when you press on a flea bite with your finger, does the bite itself turn white? or does it stay red, like a pimple?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The red color in many insect bites reflects capillary dilation, and when compressed will fade to pale. A "pimple" may have a red color due to minor infection, and will usually remain "red" when pressed.
