Why does my spleen or the area around my spleen hurt during intense exercise? it hurts a lot when i breathe but i'm somewhat able to keep my breath. i'm very fit and it usually doesn't happen. also hurts sometimes when i'm just walking around?

Unless you have splenic pathology such as an enlarged spleen from mononucleosis or other hematology disorders, I don't think your discomfort is emanating from the spleen unless the diaphragm is dragging it down during intense breathing. . It is more likely muscle cramping or runner's stitch. I think it's worthwhile to have your MD examine your abdomen &advise you however.
