A member asked:

I have an afp level of 14.1 ng/ml. two months ago, it was at 13.4 ng/ml. no symptoms. i have had an afp level between 12 and 14 for several years now. i typically have my afp level checked along with other tumor markers, which were normal?

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, if your level has stayed at more or less the same level, it is not a cause for concern. Wish you good health!
