Ive had a cold for past few days and i been coughing a lot, and yesterday all of the sudden i started to get ear pain on my left ear,you think its related to me coughing a lot or not?

Probably not related to coughing alot. Having a cold is a viral infection. Some times excess mucous builds up in the inner ear canal. You may be feeling that sensation. If it continues you can have a doctor take a look in the ear. You may be getting an ear infection. Called Otitis Media.

The cough should not cause the earache but the viral infection may spread to your left ear and you may have otitis media. Even you have viral infection to start with but in adult when otitis media is suspected, we usually treat with antibiotic. You can use Ibuprofen 200 mg x 2 or 3 tablets, every 6 hours as needed for pain. If pain persists after 2-3 days, you should see a doctor for antibiotic.
