Maybe. There are asymptomatic carriers and the ability to travel by air to any part of the globe quickly. This makes true containment unlikely in the near future. I believe everyone alive will eventually be infected within the next decade by the original or variants of covid 19. Their survival will depend on their defenses, whether natural or gained through a vaccine.
