If you have not received replacement therapy after adrenalectomy years ago you likely had only unilateral adrenalectomy or the surgery is incomplete. By your description you probably have Cushing's syndrome and the presence of pituitary adenoma is consistent with Cushing's disease.

It sounds like your original disease was pituitary in origin. Can’t explain Addison’s. Cushing’s disease means it is due to a pituitary adenoma. Prob not detected years ago and now it can be seen with modern methods. Complex discuss with your Drs.
