A member asked:

Does a light growth of a bacteria found on a swab test mean that my body is fighting it off decently? and does taking the wrong antibiotic potentially hinder my body fighting it, or does the good bacteria not matter in my immune system fighting it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Which bacteria? What is light growth? Where was the swab taken from? Why was it taken? Antibiotics taken before sample is taken for culture does affect results. Talk to the doctor who took the swab. Wish you good health!
