Eosinophilic Asthma is a condition where elevated levels of eosinophils in the blood stream cause inflammation as they move into the airway tissue including lungs, bronchi and upper respiratory tracts. The cause of elevated eosinophils is unknown. Treatment is focused on reducing inflammation and number of eosinophils in the bloodstream/lung tissue by inhaled corticosteroids.
