11year old boy started having a hoarse voice for about a month already no other symptoms, no coughing or sneezing, feels fine. can it be because of a new cat?or what else can it be?

There can be many reasons for sudden hoarseness, a cat allergy could certainly be one. The best thing to do is get him evaluated by his doctor and see if seeing an allergist for allergy testing is in order! If it is due to a cat allergy, there may be some treatments to try (besides getting rid of the cat, which would be an option!). Best of luck to you!

Agree with Dr. Ferranti. An additional issue to consider is early onset of puberty with the associated change in voice. In either case you should consult a doctor for an in-person evaluation. Some tests may be needed to settle the matter. Wish you good health!
