All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, and ANA at 1:80 in a 55 year old person is not a cause for concern per se. If she does not have any symptoms, it would be okay to watch and wait. Wish you good health!
