A member asked:

I had trigliserida too high. the point was 256. was the meaning?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Just a bit high: Triglyceride (little fat droplet) is a component of your cholesterol and normal is less than 150. 151-199 is mildly high, 200-499 moderate, above 500 is very high--i have seen above 1500. Unlike actual cholesterol level, triglyceride varies greatly from day to day with dietary intake. So postmeal maybe very high, but normal in fasting. Watch what u eat, exercise, f/u w doc for recheck. Good luck.
