PCOS can be a scary thing to be told you have, but it also is something that can be treated. Exercise, healthy eating, and yes, metformin can be very helpful. I have had patients with fertility issues get pregnant within months of starting metformin. Please discuss other aspects with your medical professional, including the importance of folic acid/prenatal vitamins.
