Talk with your treating doctor to see if the amount of Botox can be reduced. Also, request neck exercises to strengthen the neck and surrounding areas like the upper back. Botox is often used to treat muscle spasms and for cosmetic purposes. Chronic use can lead to atrophy of the muscles, a condition which is usually reversible. Yes, your muscles can be strengthened by exercise. See a physical therapist and design a custom program to fit your needs. McKenzie Neck Exercise Protocol may be a possible successful approach.
