Not particularly. Such an encounter could trigger a headache off & on for a week or more. When the event did not result in a loss of consciousness, it does not rise to the status of a concussion. if you notice changes in your equilibrium/memory/double vision/slurred speech/memory loss/nausea or dizziness contact your doc.

Ice compress for 5 to 10minutes at a time as tolerated should limit swelling and pain. If one is not dizzy or develop any headache or visual changes then it should be ok with time. But if pain or other symptoms increase then a visit to ER or Urgent Care center will be prudent.
