I wanted to know about moderate to severe myxomatous mvp? is it life threatening or can live with it ? what are the advice to follow to live healthy if we done operation for mvp then what you say about life time is there any way to live like normally?

If the MVP is causing marked mitral regurgitation by echocardiographic criteria, I expect you will require eventual mitral valve mechanical valve replacement or transcatheter replcement or repair of your current valve. Moderate to severe myxomatous mitral valve with prolapse is not life threatening. If it is associated with severe mitral regurgitation, you may need evaluation by a cardiologist to determine the need for intervention.
