Hello i'm 17 and i've been having this fear of having a sudden cardiac arrest for a month now i've been eating healthy and water is the only thing i drink i'm afraid of working out cause i fear my heart would stop beating my family doesn't have any?

Living in fear is not a good way to live. Sudden cardiac death is rare but clustered is persons with a few defined heart or rhythm abnormalities which a good cardiac evaluation would pick up. You can choose to get a good evaluation & then if cleared, enjoy life without this holding you back or use this as a crutch to avoid pursuing a good life. The choice is yours.

I agree with Dr. Ferguson. If possible, you should talk to a psychologist or psychiatrist about fear.

An approach which works very well, if you can find a specialist, is cognitive-behavioural therapy, which may illuminate the underlying mechanisms of your fears and allow you to move forwards unfettered.
