He wears an oximeter at night because he has seizures (my chiice not dr prescribed).. i thought at first it could be dreams but it has been all night long each nite for about a week.. he says no dreams he can think of.?

I’m not sure how a pulse oximeter would help determine if seizures are present. The right test for that is an EEG or brainwave test. I think you should have this person seen by a neurologist and get an EEG test. A seizure may or may not cause the oxygen level to decrease, depending on the seizure type, duration, etc. Good luck to you both!

Important to sort out nocturnal seizures versus a sleep disorder. A pediatric neurologist is highly recommended. From your description, it is not feasible to provide more specific approaches, and these events ("seizures") need to be fully evaluated. As mentioned, an oximeter is not your best approach.
