Sinus infections: Indicates chronic infection . Common in people with allergies and fungus is a common agent. Advice from ENT could help.

Inflammation, mucus: Polysinusitis means multiple (poly-) inflamed/infected (-itis) sinuses. Retention cysts is short for mucus retention cysts. Sometimes a mucus gland gets blocked (like a pimple), but is not infected. The gland keeps making mucus, but since it cannot drain out, it stretches the gland, making a mucus filled "cyst".
