Narcotic habituation or addiction can be responsible for withdrawal symptoms when stopped abruptly or even tapered. This may not be a simple "cold turkey", and your doctor who prescribed the narcotics needs to be notified and assist with your desire to "stay off". We are unable to actively get involved here at HT, but your original doctor can help.
