No, WBC is not elevated in pure Covid-19 infection. Low lymphocyte count (lymphopenia) and high neutrophil/lymphocyte are poor prognostic criteria.

Not necessarily. Viral infections are usually associated with increase in lymphocyte count, it may or may not raise the total WBC count above the normal limit. Get Covid vaccine.
