Weight loss resulting with an hgb A1C of 7.9 to 6.5 is an expected reduction, and if some alteration in diet accompanied this change, such as conscious reduction in carbohydrates, can be a normal adjustment to the weight loss. If weight loss continues and becomes significant despite no "change in daily routine", see an internal medicine physician for a diagnostic workup.

Weight loss and exercise increase insulin sensitivity and the fall in HbA1c is expected and a good result. As long as the weight loss was intentional it is okay.
