A member asked:

Tiny pinhole in bottom of foot. noticed after i removed a thin, pointy white piece of, i think, hardened skin from that spot. no pain and the area does not itch. it looks like normal skin surrounding a 1mm dent in the foot. possible causes?

Without visualizing what you are trying to describe an educated guess would be a porokeratosis. A plugged up sweat gland.

Splinter or similar foreign body sliver. The skin may thicken and harden before healing entirely. If there is redness or oozing, soak in warm soapy water and consider medical attention.
