I have folliculitis on stomach, shoulder, neck, pubic area, and face. could this be caused by a certain type of bacterial or viral infection? i meant to ask this directly but didnt. thanks?

In most cases, folliculitis is infection of the hair follicles by bacteria, usually with staphylococcus. In some cases, folliculitis may also be caused by viruses or fungi.
