Can someone describe the difference between folliculitis and herpes? I have 3 bumps in pubic hair area, not on penis they are not clustered, confused.
I have small, slightly darker brown bumps at the base of my penis where my pubic hair starts. About a mm in diameter and about 15 of them. Each one has a hair coming out (follicle point) with no sensation (burning or itching). Id like advice ?

I have folliculitis on stomach, shoulder, neck, pubic area, and face. Could this be caused by a certain type of bacterial or viral infection? I meant to ask this directly but didnt. Thanks?
