A member asked:

My mom takes 125 mg of tolrest in the morning. today by mistake she took another 125 mg at night. is it dangerous?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I think Tolrest is a trade name for sertraline. It's maximum daily dose is 200mgs. Side effects from the extra dose could include drowsiness or even insomnia as well as tremors& palpitations. The amount to cause toxicity varies from person to person. Check on her during the night periodically to make sure she's alright. Ask her prescribing physician for instructions on tomorrow's dose.
