Whats better for bronchitis, robitussin dm, mucinex dm or something else? ive been taking robitussin but its not working too well. is there anything different or better between the two when theyre both dm? (had a chest x-ray &shows no pneumonia?

Unfortunately none of those will treat bronchitis. Most bronchitis is viral and even if bacterial it would not show up on an X-ray. Sometimes it is treated with an antibiotic but mostly needs to resolve with time. However, please contact your doctor if not improving or if worsening.

Protracted symptoms are common following bronchitis and many times a proper recovery diet, rest with gradual activities and hydration can expedite healing more than symptom oriented drugs that should only be used in case symptoms interfere with normal functioning.
