Treatment for asthma depends on severity-if minimally symptomatic, you may only need a bronchodilator inhaler to use when needed. Bronchitis is a different issue-it can be caused by infection and may need antibiotics or to run its course if viral. Sometimes, with bronchitis, inhalers are given to decrease inflammation and keep airways open. Chronic bronchitis-a form of COPD-has different treatment

First expect to have the diagnosis questioned and confirmed or ruled out as many conditions can behave live bronchitis or asthma.
