A member asked:

What should i do if i am experiencing a burning, raw sensation on my upper vulva? it is on the outside, under a tuft of hair. it is not itching, just stinging. i believe its from moisture buildup, and whenever i pee, touch it or get wet it hurts?

I recommend treating this area with hot(not too hot) wet compresses for 20 minutes a few times a day as it may be an infected hair follicle. A cyst is also a possibility. Pat dry and apply an antibacterial ointment. Observe for swelling, spreading redness, increased tenderness or formation of pus in which case you should be evaluated by a physician.

If you cant see the area trim the hair so you can Clean it with mid soap and water and apply triple antibiotic ointment for a few days. If not better you have to see your MD
