"Diminished flow" of menstrual bleeding may be a normal variant if your periods are regular (24-32 days apart), but if not, scant bleeding can be a sign of PCOS, so see your GYN physician for an exam, and get a serum HCG test if pregnancy is possible and other hormonal tests if the HCG test is negative.
