Women often worry if their menstrual cycles are normal. Periods 35 days apart can still be normal. Having a short time of bleeding can be more easy to manage than long. You may wish to consult with your gynecologist about your childbearing potential. If you are desirous of having a child now, there is no downside to trying.

Pre-menstrual cramping with essentially "regular" cycles (30-35 days apart is "regular") may represent endometriosis, which can definitely interfere with fertility. Ask your GYN about low dose oral contraceptives, which will diminish your pre-menstrual pain and preserve fertility.
