Can Rx: Both glucocorticoids prescribed for illness and Anabolic steroids taken (perhaps illicitly) famously cause acne to flare; if you expect a flare-up, topical benzoyl peroxide before it happens may be sufficient, or your physician may offer you something stronger. Glucocorticoids are difficult enough & acne's only one of the problems that users face.

Eat a healthy diet.: Choose whole grain foods, fruits, vegetables, and high protein foods like turkey and fish. Avoid processed, low nutrient, and high calorie foods that have high glycemic loads; like french fries, white bread, soda pop. For more info, check this site: http://www.Superfoodsrx.Com/nutrition/nutritional-research/acne-and-nutrition.Html. Dairy foods clearly increase acne & also gluten for some people.
