General skin care: Wash your face twice daily with non irritating cleanser. Apply moisturizer at bedtime. Avoid sweet or greasy foods. Wear sunscreen when outdoors even when its cloudy and use non allergenic cosmetics. Thanks for trusting HealthTap!

2 different question: Dry skin is worse if you use a caustic soap. Dove, Olay, Eucerin, Aveeno (oatmeal) and others are made for dry skin. Within 3 minutes after a shower or bath, rub in a CERAMIDE cream. Eucerin eczema relief and Aveeno (oatmeal) eczema care are 2. You ask about preventing acne. If you don't have acne, don't worry about it. If you do, see a dermatologist. Treatment of acne depends on various factors.

Can't.: dry skin in the fall and winter is due to whether. You can't change that, i.e., no "cure". use moisturizer daily would help. Cerave Cream. Acne has nothing to do with the dry season or dry skin. You can't prevent acne. It's hormone and stress related. seek help from Dermatologist who would help you to "control" it.
