Whole process: The day before will require some diet changes and a boel prep. On the day, a nurse will place an IV and then you will be given a sedative through it. Once sedated, the doctor will insert the scope via the rectum and advance it slowly to the beginning part (called the cecum). He/she will slowly withdraw and look around to see if anything needs to be biopsies or removed. Wake up in recoverafterward.
