I have trouble swallowing at night when i'm in bed. if i sit completely up or get out of bed and stand up then i swallow with no problem. what could be the problem be?

You may have reflux which can cause difficulty swallowing. There may be a mass /bone spur that in the lying position may compress and cause difficulty , though it might cause other issues as well and you only note difficulty swallowing.
