Is rectal tenesmus curable?

It would depend on the cause. Diarrhea due to an infection often causes tenesmus but it resolves with the clearance of infection. Tenesmus in a patient with ulcerative proctitis could be controlled though not cured. You need to consult your doctor for a more personal answer.
