How is tenesmus diagnosed? What tests are done ?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Joel Gallant
35 years experience in Infectious Disease
Symptom: Tenesmus is a symptom, not a disease. It refers to the feeling of constantly needing to pass stools, despite an empty colon. There are no 'tests' for tenesmus. If you say you have it, you have it.
