Sharp throat pain: First of all, please make a doctor's appointment to be sure you do not need antibiotics for a streptococcal tonsillitis infection. "Sharp knives" seems a very apt description of strep throat pain. If also with fever, swollen lymph nodes, headache, nausea, and rash, please be seen by a doctor ASAP for treatment. Warm salt water gargles and chloroseptic spray, tea with honey and lemon help to soothe
