My daughter has a large/medium sized red bump on the middle of her butcheek. the bump has no yellow in it. what is the bump?

Can’t be sure without seeing but if it gets periodically inflamed and painful, then goes away, then returns, sounds like a pilonidal cyst (an in-growth of skin tissue beneath the skin). If frequent and painful, needs to be surgically removed
