Hi,i'm a 43 year old white female i had an echocardiogram done,and it said my heart was 65-70 percent borderline dilated la.mild mr.trace to mild tr.rvsp:20-30mmhg and mild mitral valve thickening.what does that mean?

I assume you have a heart murmur. I also assume the 65-70 percent refers to the ejection fraction which is normal meaning your heart muscle is strong. You have mild mitral valve regurgitation causing the left atrium to be mildly dilated&also causes mild elevation of systolic blood pressure of the pulmonary artery. You have very mild mitral valve disease which is best followed by a cardiologist.

Useful to know why the echo was done. Not sure what "heart was 65-70%" means . If it refers to the ejection fraction, it is NORMAL. "Borderline dilated LA, mild MR,and traceTR, RSVP 20-30, and mild mitral valve thickening" are bland statements not indicative of a defenite abnormality. Please discuss with primary doctor who requested the echo. Good luck.
