After doing a lot of lunges on competition day with my friend, i have started to notice a little bit of pain in my knees.not high pain. pains only when do full depth squats.should i give it a break or it's just the inflammation from workout.3dayspain?

Overexertion of a joint can cause strains or small tears. The standard treatment is Rest (for as long as it is hurting), Ice (20 minutes 2-3 times per day), Compression (wrap an Ace bandage on the knee for support), and Elevation (keep the knee elevated on some pillows so that fluid does not accumulate in the area and lead to swelling.
