A member asked:

I am still recovering from a mild concussion and still have some lingering symptoms.. however, i wanted to get vaccinated for covid. i was wondering if it is safe to do so whiles i still have some symptoms or just wait it out till symptoms subside?

Please get vaccinated! The risk of death from Covid infection far surpasses the "benefit" of waiting until all concussion symptoms subside.

Get proactive and vaccinated ASAP. Do not wait for a perfect moment, and regarding the head injury, see a neurologist if symptoms have lasted longer than 4-6 weeks.

Use social distancing, a mask and good hand washing. Please follow up with your physician regarding the concussion, monitor symptoms including nausea, vision changes and imbalance. If you have these symptoms, do not delay seeing a physician. Urgent care is one option, and the vaccination may be administered during the visit.
