HSV is very contagious, and easily transmitted with oral/genital contact. A "positive IgG " test only indicates prior exposure to HSV, however, without current symptoms, treatment with antiviral meds is not indicated.

This test result means you are infected with HSV1, like half of all adults in the US. In absence of symptoms, probably your infection is oral (many cases do not cause visible outbreaks, i.e. cold sores). If "unprotected oral" means oral sex on you, there is no risk: you are immune from a new HSV1 infection, the only type of HSV transmitted by oral sex. No treatment is necessary.
