A member asked:

There is prompt bilateral spillage of contrast material from normal appearing fallopian tubes into the peritoneal cavity. what does this mean?

translation= The tubes are open. Since contrast spills out it demonstrates that they are capable of receiving an egg. If a one or both tubes were blocked contrast would not pass through to enter the peritoneum on the defective side.

All imaging results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Hysterosalpingogram would also look for any abnormalities in the uterus, in addition to patency of fallopian tubes. Your tubes are patent. Wish you good health!
