If the child has pulmonary tuberculosis and his/her sputum is still positive for TB bacteria, it would be preferable to practice respiratory isolation for child. Once the sputum is smear negative, the child can mingle with the family. Your doctor should be able to arrange for sputum examination for everyone's safety. Wish your child good health!
